I first started singing in churches when I was in primary school. My teacher at the time encouraged me to sing solo and we sang at mass every second Sunday accompanied by the local organist. When I was in secondary school, I progressed on to the folk group and was introduced to many great artists’ work such as those of Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, John Denver and James Taylor. My interest in singing and performing led me to enrol in the Professional Musicianship Training Course in voice and piano for a year at Newpark School of Jazz, Dublin, which was of immense benefit in developing my style of singing.
Soon couples started asking me if I would perform at their weddings. I was delighted to do so and my repertoire and experience have expanded ever since. I have sung for many weddings over the years, including celebrity couple Dominic West and Catherine Fitzgerald.
